As with all our products, we source only exceptionally designed and crafted pieces, all of which are made to order of which some in strictly limited numbers. HIGH TECH CEILING LIGHTS

1597 by Janne Kyttanen

For the design of the unique 1597 sconce, Janne was inspired by the complexity of nature displayed in the highly intricate form of the coneflower. The extraordinary Rapid Manufactured 1597 light won the prestigious Interior Innovation Award at the 2006 IMM in Cologne and is one of Janne's latest designs for his FOC label. The light is based on a Fibonacci number and has 1597 'petals' (light sources) arranged in a similar way as they would grow on a coneflower. Fibonacci numbers are series of whole numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers, starting at 0 and 1. Although mathematical, the numbers are closely connected to laws of nature and are found everywhere, from our fingers and toes to the number of petals on flowers. In a similar way as with 1597, Janne was inspired by the connections between mathematics and the laws of nature in his design for the equally fascinating DAHLIA light, and Rapid Manufacturing was the only technology which could create this stunningly beautiful light with its perfect spirals of softly illuminated petals. Janne's FOC partner Jiri Evenhuis designed the gorgeous VENUS ceiling light, in which symmetry and balance create a kaleidoscope of light radiating mesmerizing light effects from wall or ceiling. OPERA by Jane Flint

Delicate copper and silver foils are used in the subtly ornamental design of the classy Opera wall light. Its square shapes are simple and understated, its character strong but unobtrusive; just one of those great and unpretentious classic wall light designs of strong character which will never loose its appeal. Immaculately crafted in the UK by the same British manufacturer and designed by Andrew Flint is VIGO, a beautifully balanced floor lamp design of elegant lines and striking simplicity. The Absolut range of table, floor and wall lights look fragile and stripped of any decorations, but several interesting andhighly sophisticated features hide behind the beautiful simplicity of this ultra modern German light design.The arm has a built-in electronic sensor dimmer which lets you switch the light on and off by simply touching the arm, or dim the light by holding the arm for slightly longer.
