South African designer Michaella Janse van Vuuren is an artist and has a PhD in Electrical Engineering.
Michaella's talents combine to give a unique perspective on both disciplines and, as the founder of NOMILI, digital design and additive manufacturing are her creative tools. Her work includes lighting, sculpture, functional objects and jewelry. Living on a smallholding outside of Pretoria, she is surrounded by the African bush, which often serves as an inspiration for her pieces.

For the MGX 2010 collection, Michaella designed the Krizant.MGX light.
