Pyrex is an artificial material which needs to be manufactured manually. It is light and transparent on one hand but resistant to heat and pressure too. The Ipy lights are made by skillfully blowing and forming Pyrex glass tubes. The conical forms are controlled manually and made by expansion of flame-heated glass. The lamp holder housing is represented as a sheath encasing the essential element in porcelain. The minimal structure is made up of a quadrangular rosette in painted metal and of nylon components. 
Ipy is in production since 2002.
